With a sound that is straight out of Shaolin but a message that edifies, iNTELLECT has crafted one of his finest records to date.
The Ohio emcee has cemented his place within Christian Rap.
Bars…check; delivery…check; consistency…check. There is little room for doubting the quality, from top to bottom, when it comes to the art that iNTELLECT shares with the world.
For the past year, not only has iNTELLECT continued to level up his game when it comes to rhyming, but he has also developed into a skilled engineer in the process. I Got Somethin’ may well be the ultimate example of this development. The record is already acclaimed, being chosen as the highest graded song of the night on FiveTwenty Collective’s “The FiveTwenty Feedback Show”. This speaks volumes, especially when you consider the collection of songs that it was a part of.
Adding to the quality record are fellow faith-based hip hop artists Mitch Darrell and TC along with DJ Navin Johnson. Both TC and Mitch Darrell are familiar collaborators with iNTELLECT and both deliver on the high expectations their past work has created. Broken Finga does an amazing job setting the tone with a quality beat, showcasing high-level production.
“I found this song very entertaining with good theology and gospel references…I’ve got no complaints here,” – xeroforhire from The FiveTwentyFeedback Show.

Why 40 for the album??
In June BRM turned 40 years old. Life has definitely been a journey. So many ups and down’s we all go through in life, BRM looked more into the number 40. He found that 40 generally symbolized a period of testing, trial, or probation in the Bible.
During Moses’ life
he lived forty years in Egypt and forty years in the desert before God selected him to lead his people out of slavery. The children of Israel were punished by wandering the wilderness for 40 years. Sometimes in life BRM had been wandering. This album has some real honest and reflective songs on it. As always, BRM has some fun with the music, but the last couple of years he have found himself examining his purpose, checking his why, and seeking GOD even when things have been hard.

Was there ever a time you chased after something that you believed wholeheartedly would have brought you peace and joy? You believed that “something” was what you were called to do on this earth. In the end, you were left with frustration, hurt, bitterness and anger. There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death (Proverbs 14:12). Wait upon His GreenLight.
There are Two Kinda Loves.
There’s the worldly love which is conditional and laced with motives. At it’s core is driven by selfishness. Then there’s God’s Love which is unconditional never changing, This type of love is wrapped with loyalty, mercy, grace, steadfast, and longsuffering with a covenantal everlasting promise. TC lived most of his life knowing the former type of love. Thinking it was the only one, until he met the latter. It completely change his life for the better.
Christian Hip Hop’s boom-bap wordsmith, iNTELLECT, has released his latest record It Ain’t Over on September 24, 2021.
With his distinct flow, precision pen-game, and Kingdom-oriented approach, the Ohio emcee has developed into one of the genre’s most consistent artists.
It Ain’t Over is the fourth single of the year from iNTELLECT. He collaborated with fellow CHH artist TC for the record. The duo has developed a strong pairing over the last year, working together on multiple songs during that time.
It Ain’t Over features a driving kick/snare combo and melodic sample that truly sets the sonic base. The record was produced by Bishop of Black Hand Music Group and the beat acts more like a third artist the way it compliments the bars of iNTELLECT and TC. During a time in mankind’s history that is packed with unrest, It Ain’t Over is centered around a message that everyone needs to hear.
iNTELLECT explains that, “The song is meant to encourage people in a time of uncertainty. Philippians 1:6 says, ‘I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will complete it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.’ I know that the times we live in are difficult, but we need to trust God and trust his process as He will see us through to the end.”
