Spoken Worth "Blood"

Spoken Worth speaks the truth without fear in his latest single Blood.

“Wash yourselves and be clean! Get your sins out of my sight. Give up your evil ways. Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of widows. ‘Come now, let’s settle this,’ says the Lord. ‘Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.’” [Isaiah 1:16-18]

When truth is hated, those who choose to speak it become targets. What is supposed to happen when the world gets turned upside down? When morality becomes subjective, the peacemakers are made subjects. Hope can appear to fade away in a society that accepts they are hopeless. Unless…

We have been told that the weak will be made strong by the powerful BLOOD of the ultimate Savior. For those who believe and never falter, the reward will be a safe haven in the Kingdom that will reign through eternity. We can have the transgressions of this world scrubbed from our souls as we breathe in life that is everlasting.

“BLOOD” is aimed to invite Christians into a space of sobering self-reflection through a beautiful mixture of spoken word and hip-hop.

On July 28, 2023, Spoken Worth offers a powerful record that not only stands out against the dire landscape of today’s music industry but boldly proclaims the truth of the Gospel without fear.

“BLOOD” emphasizes a call to justice, humility, and mercy by calling out some of the most prevailing issues of our culture today. Pointing to the cross of Jesus as the solution.”

Working alongside critically acclaimed producer Poetics, Spoken Worth has crafted perhaps his most captivating single to date. The Terre Haute, Indiana native has cemented himself in the creative community as he delivers spoken word poetry woven into the very fabric of hip hop.

BLOOD addresses topics that have moved beyond tabu and have come to determine people’s ability to exist.

Within the three-minute timespan, Spoken Worth examines justice, racism, hate, idolatry, pride, addiction, politics, abortion, identity, and more. In the end, he is not simply pointing fingers but directs listeners toward the solution to the problems we face.

BLOOD is motivational, inspiring, and fearless.

Spoken Worth "Burn The Idols"

Spoken Worth delivers new song Burn The Idols

Produced by Bway, Burn The Idols is the result of months of work by Spoken Worth. It is a deep and conflicting record for the Church. A challenge to get introspective and take stock of where we stand.

Spoken Worth "Love"

Originally from Terre Haute, Indiana, poet Spoken Worth has remained focused on a specific goal no matter where he may reside. The mission is to share God’s LOVE with all who he comes across. Life can be, and has been, difficult and trying. He understands that society is eagerly seeking something more. People need something greater than themselves. What better to offer than LOVE?

LOVE is releasing to digital streaming platforms on November 25, 2022. With production from Bway, this is Spoken Worth’s most unique release to date.

When describing the motivation behind the record, Spoken Worth explained,

LOVE was created because we live in a dry and weary land. Our culture is a culture of wilderness. Love is absent and our souls are dry, tired, and burdened.” He continued, “the song is both reflective and thought-provoking. At the same time exciting and something you can follow along to.”

Bway, who Spoken Worth refers to as a legend, helped to mix and fuse different types of sounds to truly make something special. It is a sincere journey along an everchanging soundscape that begins solemnly before reaching a crescendo of transparent maturity.

Accompanying the single’s release is a brand-new music video.

The visual remains simplistic in its nature, but thematically encompasses the feel of the record. The artist and a microphone; nature and its beauty; one message for all to grasp. The video can be viewed below and we would love for you to share your thoughts in the comments. Where do you rank LOVE among Spoken Worth’s discography?

“So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is LOVE.”

Spoken Worth Strips Back the Hidden Layers of Mental Health On His Single Checking In.

In America, mental health has become a major speaking point for society to rally around.

We create hashtags and print t-shirts to bring awareness to the cause all while overlooking our neighbor who is struggling. We turn a phrase by “checking in on our strong friends” and conveniently bypass our own warning signs. Perhaps it is time for us to hit pause on our efforts to remain culturely relevant and truly begin Checking In with the God who completely understands the human condition.

Checking In is the second release of 2022 by poet Spoken Worth.

The single turns the camera inwards as Spoken Worth address the kaleidoscope of emotions that exist within each of us.

As Spoken Worth explains,

Checking In is about how all the different emotions we have as humans are God-given and should be welcomed by one another.” He continues, “It is intended to raise awareness around mental health and how we all need to be seen, heard, and loved.”

Released on August 25, 2022, Checking In features production from Bway who also produced Spoken Worth’s previous release “Just As We Are”.

The piano-driven calmness of the melody gives in to the weight of hip-hop drums and controlled transparency as Spoken Worth weaves a path from one feeling to the next that easily connects with listeners. It is a unique record that contains volumes in a running time under three minutes.

Spoken Worth, "Just As We Are"

We Aren’t Loved Despite Of Who We Are, We Are Loved Just As We Are – Spoken Worth

Spoken word poet and Christian artist Spoken Worth has had a relatively quiet 2022 to this point.

The critically acclaimed ‘Crucible Chronicles’ (Project of the Year, FiveTwenty Collective) showcased his undeniable talent when it comes to both poetry and music. It featured several premiere artists within the Christian hip-hop community. Now, after a season of many personal transitions, he is ready to follow up ‘Crucible Chronicles’ with the release of Just As We Are.

Collaborating with Bway (producer and engineer), Spoken Worth pours personal experience out with purpose. Just As We Are will undoubtedly connect with countless individuals across the world.

Just As We Are is a song for all the inner childs around the world who live in shame and shadow,” explains Spoken Worth. “It’s for those who aren’t sure if God’s love is for them. I pray it brings someone from shame and confusion to certainty. From darkness to light.”

Releasing on July 26, 2022, the record will be available across digital music platforms including Spotify. A visual for Just As We Are will follow soon.

Listeners can rest assured that, no matter what their current situation may be, there is hope and love waiting for them.

“God loves and accepts us just as we are. We are not a product purposed to be consumed; we are not performers purposed to entertain. People are purposed to be seen and loved. Why? Because God sees and loves us fully. Just As We Are.”

Crucible Chronicles is Spoken Worth’s best album yet. It tells a story of pain, wounds, and healing that everyone can relate to. This album isn’t just spoken word poetry. It’s a refreshingly unique clash of spoken word and Christian hip-hop music. Spoken Worth completely shatters the mold of what it is like to hear and experience spoken word poetry with this album.

The essence of hip hop can be found within the lyricists.

Street poets who tap into the veins of the community surrounding them. The separation between spoken word and a Top 40 hit may be as simple as an 808.

On his newest album, spoken word artist Spoken Worth entrenches himself within the Christian Hip Hop genre while staying true to the art form that sparked his passion.

The Terre Haute, IN native returns with his first full-length project since 2018’s ‘Pariah’. Not only is he continuing to collaborate with notable CHH producers (Dillon Chase, OnBeatMusic), but he is stepping even further into the space by tabbing several of today’s top independent rappers (J. Crum, Mitch Darrell, Dillion Chase) to add a new sonic experience to ‘Crucible Chronicles’.

Releasing on May 28, 2021, Spoken Worth describes his latest project as follows,

Crucible Chronicles is an authentic, vulnerable, and challenging spoken word poetry album. It leads the listener on a journey of self-reflection, truth, and hope.” He continues, “Follow along in the journey of a young child who falls, is buried in his shadow and wounds, but then wrestles God to rise again. Join him as he travels through time to find the God given gold that his soul desperately needs. You may just find yours also.”

Not only does Spoken Worth team up with industry veteran Dillion Chase (Die Daily) for production and an album feature, but Chase also lends his engineering talents by Mixing & Mastering the project.

Check out the lead single “Wrestle” featuring J. Crum. Hit the comments and let us know what you think!

Electric bass lines, hip hop, and confronting the contradictions of our flesh and spirit make for amazing, spoken word based, records.

With the lead single from the upcoming album ‘Crucible Chronicles’, spoken word poet Spoken Worth and hip hop artist J. Crum are set to inspire listeners of a wide variety.

On “Wrestle”, Spoken Worth blends vivid imagery throughout stanzas delivered with conviction. J. Crum lends his patented lyricism over production from Longstory (Bryan Conway). For those who believe that hip hop is not poetry in its purest form, get ready to be proven wrong.

Releasing May 21, 2021 (one week before Crucible Chronicles), “Wrestle” is a fierce, hard-hitting track that clashes both spoken word poetry with lyrical hip hop.

“The track was created to challenge, comfort, and ultimately inspire the listener to wrestle with their past wounds and scars of life.”

The vulnerability from both artists creates a path of connection and relatability for each listener. This is a song that people can listen to on repeat and really wrestle within thought. It provides a refreshingly unique perspective to spoken word poetry and gives the people a new sound and approach entirely.

“Wrestle” is releasing with an official visual alongside the single. The video will be available on YouTube as well as Instagram and Facebook. The visual aims to captivate the viewer, showing them they are not alone no matter what they are wrestling with.
