If you are an artist, you have no doubt experienced a situation when the CD player didn’t read your CD, when the speaker was busted which made you sound distorted, or in my case, the computers crashed…both of them, right before your turn on stage.
This can be one of the most frustrating times in a “performers” career.
You think to yourself, the venue or host had one job! It can really take you down a path of irritation and cause us to get out of character.
If you have never had this happen to you…congrats, you are an anomaly and I aspire to be just like you. But if it does, what do you do? The audience is restless, your allotted time is ticking, everyone is staring at you. It is an uncomfortable and less than ideal situation. Do you get upset? Do you run off stage in embarrassment? Or do you take the opportunity to truly use the platform in which God has provided you?
This is what makes the difference between a PERFORMER and a MINISTER.
I am not charging you up and trying to make you feel some type of way, but I am charging you and trying to make you feel some type of way.
My goal is to challenge you as a fellow minister of the gospel to always remember the reason for the talent. I am here to encourage you to think about your role in the game. I mean, imagine if you lost your whole voice on a permanent level? Your talent would be useless, but the gospel will still be relevant.
So, I pray that the next time the mic breaks you have the courage to be an oddball and utilize the platform to the max. Even if it means they never hear your music.
With that being said, I am a proud CHH fan and love to hear undiscovered artist but it gives my heart more joy to see you flourish in the Kingdom!
Keep grinding!
