Greensboro, NC – Renew Your Mind Music CEO Sam Purpose, formally Sam P., returns with the 2021 single “No Deficit”.

While 2020 was a new experience and 2021 has been surrounded by uncertainty, Sam is here to remind listeners that authority remains with Jesus Christ!

As he encourages believers that our lives are not set up for failure, Sam holds tight to the truth that God has the best intentions for each of us. He points out, “No matter what comes our way – pandemics, injustice, financial hardship – in the end, when we choose to trust, God is still in control. We walk in victory in the midst of negative situations.”

2 Cor. 4:8-12 tells us, “We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed…”

“No Deficit” hits digital music retailers on June 4, 2021 and features production from Tip Beats. The song also includes additional vocals from Renew Your Mind Music artist Vessel Piece.

Potential is UNDERRATED.

We too often want things packaged as “finished” or “polished”, not realizing that what we experience, that we consider as such, has been processed; NOTHING just arrives as what it’s going to be.

Potential means there’s a higher ceiling than what I’m looking at, presently.

Potential is what comes to mind when I listen to The EP Before The EP, an eight-song release by Vessel Piece, the Greensboro, NC MC who gave his life to CHRIST in 2014.

You can tell there’s still some old-world elements to Vessel’s music, but you can also hear an artist who’s discovering what he’s capable of now walking in purpose.

The EP’s sound is modern trap, but heavy on the synth sounds and minus the rolling snares and mumble deliveries, which make for records that can be clearly understood and digested, for the most part.

Vessel Piece is confident and contrite on many of these recordings, sincerely boasting about the LORD while navigating his new space.

Even as a former secular artist, no matter how long you’ve done it, doing it for the LORD is a different, refreshing freeing. Tracks like The One Interlude show that Vessel has a niche he’s growing into and a well for worship that we pray the LORD will continually pour into.

The Renew Your Mind Records artist shows an ability to switch his flow from time to time, but will certainly benefit from learning to add depth to his choruses and creating consistency throughout each song.

Other standout tracks include In Your Bag and Take The Kingdom.

For fans of trap music that have substance, Vessel Piece’s ‘The EP Before The EP’ rings true to heart and is worth a listen. I look forward to hearing how this artist grows and develops in the years to come.
