Steven Malcolm unleashed the Summertime music video featuring Snoop Dogg and Jay-Way.

The visual premiered through Vibe Magazine and is the latest from Malcolm’s upcoming album.

It is the newest star-studded collaboration for Malcolm who has previously worked with Shaggy, KB, Social Club Misfits, R3hab, and more. Summertime, featuring Snoop Dogg and Jay-Way, is available now across all DSPs. The record boasts rhymes tighter than Chuck Taylor’s shoelaces. Malcolm refines his flow to compliment the elegance of Snoop’s laid-back style and Jay-Way’s smooth vocals.

“With this record, I wanted to bring an endless tune that will give people that summertime feeling over and over,” says Malcolm.

Malcolm’s IVAV label mate Jay-Way and Snoop effortlessly add their suave swagger to enhance the sweetly harmonious bop.

The record is co-produced by Mikey and Scootie of Social House (Ariana Grande, MGK).

Legendary music and entertainment magazine, Vibe, premiered the music video, stating:

Summertime has the makings of a bonafide anthem for the warmer months of the year and is a continuation of Malcolm’s evolution as a lyricist and songwriter.”

It is not the first foray into Christian music for Snoop Dogg.

The hip hop icon declares “Summertime is back,” in his opening verse. Snoop is a self-professed “born-again Christian” who released his first gospel album in 2018 (Bible of Love). The album peaked at number one on the US Gospel Albums chart for seven weeks. That same year, Steven Malcolm found his own success on the gospel chart with “Not To Us/Good Love”. The record was a radio hit that doubled as the first release from Malcolm’s sophomore album, ‘The Second City’.

This is a party that everyone is invited to.

Summertime was added to Spotify’s New Music Friday Christian playlist and Apple Christian’s Best New Songs chart. Watch below as rap royalty rides off into the sunset with two rising stars in an IVAV meets Death Row trifecta.

Accelerate is from Malcolm’s forthcoming album ‘Tree’, releasing on April 15, 2022.

Malcolm spits versatile flows over boisterous production. Billboard-charting rapper Canon reinforces the record with an explosive guest verse. The song arrives less than two weeks after ending Malcolm’s “Long Live The Hype” tour which received praise from regional outlets like Local Spins, among others.

Accelerate is all about the race of life,” explains Malcolm. “It’s an honor to have my brother Canon on this record with me.”

The Grand Rapids, Michigan natives are a Dynamic Duo

“His verse is insane,” declares Malcolm, when talking about Canon’s contribution to the record. Malcolm also drops a flawless verbal onslaught packed with imaginative metaphors. “Hit the gas, I’m the highest in the room how I elevate,” he raps in a swaggering cadence.

Accelerate moves at the velocity of an action flick. The ferocity of the production is infectious and intensifies each rhyme. Who can stop Steven Malcolm? “Hit the throttle, take off on ’em, tell me who gon’ stop him”.

Accelerate follows up the Sango-produced bop “Respect” that landed on Apple Christian’s Best New Songs chart. It also hit popular playlists like Apple’s “Elevate” and Spotify’s “The Flow”.
