Named as one of the “100 Emcees You Should Know” by Public Enemy’s Chuck D, Jones has released her latest project Better.

Better includes the acclaimed lead single “Cheque“, the video for which has already generated close to 50K views. VEVO also picked up the visual on one of the platform’s top rap playlists, ‘Heavy Hitters’. The album features 5x Grammy nominee Tiffany Gouche as well as Macklyn, Dre Marshall, and K-$oul. Jones is kicking off the release of the project with a five-city tour of Israel.

A 14-track album, Better boasts several standout records.

“Strong Friends/Weak Friends” and “You Got This” are both finalists for the 2022 John Lennon Songwriting Contest’s rap category. The latter has caught the attention of several celebrities including Tabitha Brown, Kim Kardashian, Kristen Bell, and Jennifer Lopez while being recognized by The Recording Academy as one of it’s ‘Songs for Social Change’. Other notable records include “God Been Good” and “Go”.

A lyrical powerhouse, Mahogany Jones is a hip-hop soul artist whose career spans three full-length albums and countless features.

A sensational performer, Jones embodies hip-hop, femininity, spirituality, and passion in each commanding performance. She has shared stages with the likes of Talib Kweli, India.Arie, The Roots, and Gil Scott-Heron. A 4x undefeated winner of BET’s ‘106 & Park Freestyle Fridays’, Jones was also billed alongside Grammy award-winning rapper Rapsoday as part of Detroit’s first ‘Women in Hip-Hop Conference’. The ‘Foundation Women in Hip-Hop Concert’ was a successful moment for females of the genre.
