Rand Scott, "Swole"

Dallas Hip-Hop artist, Rand Scott raps about spiritual fitness on Swole, produced by ChaldoBronx.

Swole was inspired by 1 Corinthians 9:24-27.

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run is such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.

“There are so many distractions fighting for our focus,” explains Scott. “I’ve had to really get serious about my spiritual disciplines. Jesus is the ultimate prize, everything else will fade away.”

Rand Scott, "What Did God Say"

Rand Scott challenges us to see ourselves the way God does with What Did God Say

God’s grace is for everyone who trusts in the name of Jesus. Our past does not define us, people don’t define us, and our own thoughts don’t define us. What defines us is who God says we are in Christ.

The inspiration for Action, by Rand Scott, is James 2:17, and 1 Peter 1:13-15. The scriptures tell us that faith without works is dead and we must prepare our minds for action as obedient children of the Most High.

This song is about standing firm in God’s truth while faced with temptation. Modeling Jesus when He was tempted in the wilderness, knowing that Christ has set us free. No longer burdened by a yoke of slavery. We tell the enemy “No” and say “Yes” to the promises of God, while walking in the fruit of the Spirit. (Galatians 5)

Rand Scott & Azeekah (Relentless Music) address the current state of our nation and how the only answer to our problems is turning back to God. Blackout is a reminder for believers to be on alert for the schemes of the enemy because we are in the midst of spiritual warfare.

Self is inspired by Luke 9:23. Jesus tells his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”
