Procyse and J. Rhodan, "Praise"

Procyse and J. Rhodan take their life experiences, the good and the bad, and turn them into Praise

“And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.” [Philippians 1:9-11]

The Lord is our strength. He is a shield and ever-present help for those who trust in Him. What should our reaction be to His faithfulness? The song of our hearts in the midst of triumph is thanks and Praise.

Releasing March 17, 2023, Christian hip-hop artists Procyse (CO) and J. Rhodan (PA) deliver their newest collaboration, Praise

Praise is produced by J. Rhodan and features Jonathan Fitzsimmons & TC. The motivation behind the record is quite simple. Procyse explains, “We want to praise God in all we do. People fail to realize you can praise him in different ways, including hip-hop music. We want to show people that, with our song, we will thank Him.”

Praise is a fusion of melody and boom-bap packed with vocal sampling. Anyone who loves golden-era hip-hop music and worship will love the record. It is a perfect example of what reverence looks like in today’s culture.

About Procyse

The Denver, CO hip hop artist has always been inspired by the need to convey truth via music. Boldly combining his heart for the Gospel with his music to spread hope among the hopeless through a gritty, boom-bap sound.

iNTELLECT & Procyse, "For The Culture"

iNTELLECT & Procyse Prove That You Can’t Be Self-Serving and Still Do It For The Culture

“And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the LORD, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” [Joshua 24:15]

Hip-hop has taught us many things over the years. Some of those lessons have rang true while others are comprised of fallacy. Ego and selfishness are simply a means to the coveted clout. It has shown us how to stay down for our day ones. Being real is vital and the fakes will always be found out. It’s okay to knock others down if your motivation is putting on For The Culture

With their latest single, Christian rap artists iNTELECT and Procyse are fixing the flaws in the narrative.

For The Culture releases across digital streaming platforms on March 3, 2023, and features CHH artist TC. The Brokenfinga production reflects the genre rooted in the culture of the streets, while the lyrics speak life from the only true source. Foregoing a hook, the record is far from lacking when it comes to standout bars. It is a culmination of hip-hop’s impact and the life-changing power of the Gospel.

We’re speaking about where we come from,” explains iNTELLECT. “Not only where we’ve been, but where God is taking us.”

Above the Clouds, "Real Ones Pt. 2"

“For the upright will inhabit the land, and those with integrity will remain in it.” [Proverbs 2:21]

Above the Clouds is one of Christian rap’s hidden gems. The duo of iNTELLECT and Tae Lamar represent an element of hip-hop that has become a rare commodity, the pairing of the beat-maker and the emcee. Classic groups once set the trends for the genre and Above the Clouds is helping the culture remember what is truly special about individuals working together with a common goal in mind.

With their first release since 2020, the group enlisted the services of CHH artist Procyse along with DJ Grubbernaut for the new single Real Ones Pt. 2. iNTELLECT explains the timing of the release by saying, “while we have both been pushing our own personal endeavors (Lamar with Afresh Culture and iNTELLECT with Polished Arrow), we felt it was time to join forces to begin the next Above the Clouds chapter.”

The follow-up to the record “Real Ones”, from the album ‘The Righteous’, Real Ones Pt. 2 is a sequel that raises the bar. Locked-in wordplay from iNTELLECT and Procyse elevate the already potent production of Tae Lamar. DJ Grubbernaut brings the finishing flavor by adding perfectly placed cuts.

Real Ones Pt. 2 hits streaming platforms on February 27, 2023.

Procyse, "Need You"

Procyse Partners with J. Rhodan For the Collaborative Single Need You

“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Phillippians 4:19)”

Procyse and J. Rhodan prepare for their upcoming EP with the lead single Need You.

In the midst of a crazy world, Need You delivers a calming vibe that allows the listener to remained focus on the source of our help when we’re in the storm. The J. Rhodan production is simplistic in its approach but still hits hard without negating the laidback feel. It is truly a perfect compliment to the smooth vocal delivery by Colorado’s Procyse. While Pro has plenty to get off of his chest on the record, he does so with control and conviction as he flows through his bars with a captivating cadence.

“We need God in everything we do,” explains Procyse. “This song is a reminder to constantly seek after him.”

Need You releases to digital music platforms on February 10, 2023.

iNTELLECT & Procyse, "The Big Picture"

iNTELLECT and Procyse Are Challenging Listeners To Look At The Big Picture

“We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,” 2 Corinthians 10:5

When we are transformed by the truth, we can no longer attempt to adhere to the views of the world. We now understand there is a larger purpose that demands both reverence and submission. As our hearts are changed, the narrow scope that is seen by the flesh is not able to satisfy the Spirit within us.

Faith-based hip hop artists iNTELLECT (Ohio) and Procyse (Colorado) are raising a banner with their latest single, The Big Picture.

“Seeing the big picture has been the sole reason behind what we do,” explains iNTELLECT. “God gives us a different perspective on everything. He provides us with purpose.”

Procyse added, “We have been called to make an impact and this single is another step in that direction.”

DJ Navin Johnson joins the boom-bap duo adding his signature cuts to the production by F-Plus. The Big Picture hits digital music platforms on January 27, 2023.

iNTELLECT and Procyse, "I'm So..." featuring TC

iNTELLECT and Procyse Look Through The Eyes of a Broken World With Their New Single I’m So…

“When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom – Proverbs 11:2”. Man may be God’s greatest creation, but at the same time the most foolish. It seems that society is determined to prove that we are smarter than God. We’ve gone so far as to pervert the things that are beautiful, to drape that which is lovely in a covering of shame. “…Your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

Christian rap artists iNTELLECT (Ohio) and Procyse (Colorado) are no strangers when it comes to collaborating on records. The duo have teamed up on several releases including 2021’s joint EP ‘The Art of Grace’. I’m So… is the first offering off of the reworked version of the project that features Florida’s TC.

“Procyse and I really wanted to revisit ‘The Art of Grace’ EP and revamp it,” explained iNTELLECT. “We wanted to give it a totally fresh sound that reflects the direction that  we are heading in as we continue to collaborate. We plan to re-release the EP soon.”

Available on digital music retailers beginning November 4, 2022, the new version of I’m So… showcases high-level lyricsim and expertly crafted cadences. The boom bap drum pattern is accentuated by subtle strings and complimentary samples. It is a perfect bridge between golden era hip hop and modern era approach. I’m So… is a record that will connect with a widerange of hip hop audiophiles.

Did you enjoy I’m So… by iNTELLECT and Procyse? Let us know your thoughts in the comments! Make sure to check out the original release of ‘The Art of Grace’ as we gear up for the re-release.

2022 has been building up to this exact moment for Ohio emcee iNTELLECT.

Last year the Christian rap artist released his concept album ‘Ephesians’ which was created to support a sermon series at his local church. While it was well-received in the broader hip-hop space, the project was still created with others in mind. Since the beginning of this calendar year, iNTELLECT has traveled a more personal road.

With his new album Living Weapons, June 17th, he realizes something that he has thought about for a long time:

Living Weapons is a project, as an artist, that I’ve always wanted to do,” explained iNTELLECT. “It’s a boom bap experience that invokes nostalgia, but also comes with a sound and message that are relevant to this generation.”

The album takes traditional boom-bap and blends it seamlessly into today’s sound.

Project production includes Newselph (“New Kung Fu”), F-Plus (“Honor the Teacher”, “Prison Break”, “Manifest Remix”), and Brokenfinga (“I Got Somethin’”, “The Intersection Remix”, “It Ain’t Over Remix”). iNTELLECT continues to show why he is seen as one of Christian Rap’s most consistent lyricists today. Not only does he spit hard-hitting bars, but he features an amazing lineup of independent faith-based artists as well. Features include Mitch Darrell, TC, Procyse, coreywordsmith, Minister Squad, D. R33D, DJ Navin Johnson.

Living Weapons releases across digital music platforms on June 17, 2022. It includes the acclaimed singles “I Got Somethin’” and “Manifest (Remix)”.

While the world still continues on a journey of adjustment, there is much to be said about a feeling of familiarity.

When it comes to hip hop, there is a certain sound that will forever be considered “classic”. Jazz samples, boom-bap drums, fresh cuts, and above all…lyrical ability.

Enter the newest collaboration between Procyse and iNTELLECT.

On their joint EP, The Art of Grace, the Colorado-based Procyse and Ohio bred iNTELLECT showcase God-given talent over production by the extremely talented Newselph. The duo flexes their lyrical chops, bringing a relevant sound to a tried and true formula.

“This project has a classic hip hop vibe,” explains iNTELLECT. “From the jazzy samples to drum breaks, this has lofi hip hop written all over it. What makes it special is that Procyse and I really just gelled on the project. It was an organic, creative process and God’s grace quickly became the theme.”

Joining iNTELLECT and Procyse on the six-song EP are fellow emcees TC, Griffin, and DJ Dsern.

‘The Art of Grace’ hit digital music retailers on February 19, 2021.
