Dex the Nerd Who Loves Jesus "Fruit"

Dex the Nerd Who Loves Jesus Bears Fruit with New Record

“Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” [John 15:4-5]

Are we rooted deep within the good soil?

It is easy to spring up from the shallow earth and give the appearance of abundance. However, this is the life that quickly withers when the heat is turned up. As those who proclaim to abide in the vine, we are not simply to look good from the outside. We are to produce and provide nourishment for those around us. In other words, He expects that the branches bring forth Fruit.

Dex the Nerd Who Loves Jesus again teams up with producer Praise

The duo creates a record that challenges listeners at the same level with which it slaps. The energy and lyricism are turned up and the message goes far beyond the two-and-a-half-minute run time of the track. After all, hearts and lives are at stake.

Fruit hits digital streaming platforms on May 12, 2023 courtesy of Polished Arrow music.

“Let’s produce Fruit for the Kingdom,” exclaims Dex when talking about the driving force behind the record.

It is no longer a matter of simply looking the part, merely existing within the Christian culture, we all need to be displaying to the world a better way of living. When we are receiving our strength from the Living God, our Fruit is able to produce “a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown” into us. This is the word that we have been given. Why not fulfill that potential?

Procyse and J. Rhodan 'All Things'

Procyse and J. Rhodan drop new collaborative project, All Things

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” [Romans 8:28]

It can be difficult to clearly see the higher purpose in less-than-ideal times. It can be a challenge to look past the opposition directly in front of us in order to remain focused on the joy that beckons us. Even in these moments, it is well. Not for our sake, but for the sake of the one who made it all possible. And it is He who deserves our adoration.

Procyse and J. Rhodan deliver an album that is a reminder that everything works together for God’s glory, the good and the bad of life.

All Things hits digital streaming platforms on April 14, 2023.

“J. Rhodan and I teamed together to create a piece of art that we felt shared both of our hearts in the tragedies and the triumphs of life,” explains Procyse. “In the end, everything in our lives can be used to point back to God. This project is a reflection of that.”

Featuring production by J. Rhodan and lyrics from Procyse, the album includes notable contributions from the indie Christian rap community as well. Featured artists on the project are Zae Ortiz, iNTELLECT, Jonathan Fitzsimmons, and TC.

All Things included the acclaimed single “Praise” released earlier this year.

Dex the Nerd Who Loves Jesus faces The Reckoning On His Polished Arrow Debut

“But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.” [2 Peter 3:13]

As Americans, it is not easy for us to truly understand what it means to suffer for the cause of Christ. To risk everything in order to please the Father. Even so, there is one thing that we have been promised. In order to follow after Jesus, we will have to endure the world’s hatred because they first hated Him. It is not a pretty picture, but The Reckoning is unavoidable. Will we stand strong in our faith? Will we hear “well done, good and faithful servant”?

With his Polished Arrow debut, Dex the Nerd Who Loves Jesus is transparent about the difficult path we are called to follow and the hope that we move towards.

Dex the Nerd Who Loves Jesus has been a part of the Christian hip-hop scene with his group Meek Heroes, the duo that blended rap and rock elements to showcase the Gospel. Now Dex is stepping out and re-introducing himself to the genre as a solo artist. He has joined the independent label Polished Arrow and is ready to put his lyrical prowess on full display. His first single is a record that hits listeners right in the face.

The Reckoning is not about a radio-ready hook. It is about a message that has to be delivered over a hard-hitting beat. Produced by Praise, the record is bursting with energy from start to finish. It is a declaration that not only screams “prepare the way of the Lord,” but one that demands attention for Dex’s ability as an emcee.
