Nikao’s World, by Jazmine Nikao, is truly an experience unlike anything anyone has ever heard.

The album is an audible storytelling masterpiece. It features production by Find Will, narration by Iniki Franklin, and voice acting by Megan McClary, Carl Duperval, Michael Adams, and of course Jazmine herself.

Nikao is a conquering superhero fighting against the Godless enemy. Her story is one of a young woman who experienced trauma and abuse at a young age, but never properly healed from it. During her daily work, she becomes triggered and paralyzed by fear as the enemy deceptively attacks her. With her back against the wall, Nikao reaches inside to find the warrior within and fight with God by her side.

The musical tracks showcase a variety of structures and genres. Jazmine raps and sings with such passion and confidence whether its up-tempo hip hop, jazzy melodies, or a soulful ballad. Everything comes together to form what is just the beginning of Nikao’s tale. This album is a must listen that will have you impatiently awaiting the arrival of the next chapter in Nikao’s World.

Many Nights by DJ Kideazy is a stark testimonial from Detroit’s west side.

Stacking his own acapella vocals on top of stomping and clapping, Kideazy created this cinematic beat from scratch. He  wrote a compelling, harsh story. Moments like pulling a pistol out on his own mother to nearly getting his little brother killed in the grim Detroit streets. Many nights were spent sleepless. Kideazy has been able to find peace and restoration in God. Realizing he is made in the image of God, DJ Kideazy changed his life and became a loving husband, father of three, business owner, minister, and role model for his community!

Detroit’s own Desciple is back on the scene with his brand new single On Duty feat. Kingdom Chellzzz.

The vibey beat sets the perfect backdrop for these talented emcees to sauce all over it. Each artist has his own distinct delivery that fits well in the pocket, the contrasting styles create a fun collaboration that makes sense. The word play on Desciple’s verse is crazy as usual as he talks about going to work for God and staying on duty. Turn up this fire banger all summer long on your radio!
