Review | Jon Rodriguez, “Till Now”

If you’re looking for an upbeat, unique song to add to your playlists, look no further than Jon Rodriguez’s “Till Now.”

Jon Rodriguez teamed up with Jacob Martinez to create this fun bop that’s full of heart. 

The song weaves strong vocals into structured yet melodic EDM production that has led my music app to label the song as “house.”

The sung and rapped portions of the song are both fantastically executed, my only complaint being that the balance of the vocals in the mix on the first chorus could be a little bit clearer. That being said, the structure of the song is creative and attention-holding.

While not cheesy or corny, the lyrics aren’t particularly deep – but as I listen, I don’t find that problematic at all, and I think the emphasis is definitely more on the fun ride that the song provides.

“Till Now” is a refreshing and fun tune that makes for some great easy listening.
