Jus Josef Blesses with New Project

Y’all want to know what worsHIP- HOP looks like, look no further than the new album ‘Valley Joe’

Jus Josef, CHH artist from the Pacific Northwest, has been busy in 2019 crafting a new approach to his music and the result is amazing!

Don’t get me wrong, I am not simply hyping ‘Valley Joe’ because Josef is someone that I’m lucky enough to call a friend. The truth is that this album really embodies the balance between hip hop and worship that I look for. Being able to witness the process and talk with Josef as the project was being put together helped me to appreciate it more.

For starters, Josef did not write a single word of ‘Valley Joe’. Instead, he simply went into the booth prepared to worship and let the Spirit work through him. That alone blew my mind.

As he explained in a recent interview with TheBookkeeper247.com,

“Valley Joe’ is a 10-song project that I mixed and mastered, but did not write. I’m pretty proud of that fact. I was receiving some criticism, in a good way, telling me some of my songs felt rehearsed or flat. I decided to trust God and just went off inspiration.”

I’m not here to convince you that ‘Valley Joe’ should be among the top choices of your list of favorite projects this year. All I would like to do is ask you a simple favor, give it a listen.
